[OPEN] Carson's Last Show
Phil's Ed McMahon is always hilarious. The tape with all the
other talk show hosts was great, especially Dana Carvey as Dennis Miller.
The tiger cub pissing while mauling David Brenner was also funny.
8/10
[MONO] Woody's Ego & SNL Song
Pretty funny stuff. 8.5/10
[COMM] Action Cats (rerun of 3/21/92)
[SKIT] Take Off Your Shirt!
One of the rare skits that successfully straddles the line between
hilarious and disgustion. I still find it a weird coincidence that
Dana's character had the heart operation. 8.5/10
[SHOW] Sprockets- Klaus Brecht
I love Sprockets...these sketches are always really bizarre.
My favorite parts of the EuroTrash theme park presented here were the Diseased
Bear Jamboree ("Caution: Diseased Animals") and The Bastard. 8/10
[DEEP] Math Test Impressions
I wish I could use this excuse, but I'm not in any math courses at
university! 8/10
[SONG] "Save The Best For Last"- Vanessa Williams
I didn't mind this song, even though I've heard it a million times
in the last ten years. 7.5/10
[WKUP] Weekend Update with Kevin Nealon
Superfan Tips for Knick Fans
Funny stuff here. 7.5/10
Operaman
Good bit as usual...this is only his second appearance, right?
8.5/10
The jokes
It's true. Kevin Nealon is underrated. 9/10
AVERAGE: 8.3/10
[SKIT] Gamma Chi Borrows Delta (x3)'s notes
Not the funniest, but it did have it's moments. Good final chapter
to the Delta Delta Delta girls saga. 7/10
[MISC] The Proud (White) Cowboys
The singing cowboys (from Woody's last show) return! 8/10
[MISC] Zoraida Bugs Woody
I've always found Zoraida kind of annoying, but it is funny that she
mixed Cheers & White Men Can't Jump. 7/10
[SKIT] Frank Gannon, P.I. P.I.- Aborion Clinic
This character was only used one other time (in the Catherine O'Hara
show of April '91). The part where Frank thought that rioters broke
in to find names of all the loose women in town was good, as was the date-rape
victim's "You're an idiot!" Overlong, but it did have it's moments.
7/10
[SONG] "The Comfort Zone"- Vanessa Williams
This song was OK, but not especially great or special. 7/10
[SKIT] The Sensitive Naked Man- Baseball Game
OK, this guy's a social worker? Did he show up to the interview
in clothes or something? The fact that he made it to the game without
being arrested as soon as he stepped out of his apartment is miraculous,
but basically, just a rehash of the last sketch (from Susan Dey's show).
7/10
[SKIT] Pregnany Don'ts
Victoria's last SNL sketch ever, and it proved to be a classic.
The ending was great. 8.5/10
Summary: A satisfying season ender, if not a particularly memorable one. Jon Lovitz' cameo definitely made things funnier (it's Jon Lovitz for crying out loud!), and the show had its share of laughs, even if nothing was an all-time classic. 108.3/140 or 77.3%
